youtube-dl is a small command-line program to download videos from YouTube.com and a few more sites.
Here's how to download video suitable for iPhone:
$ youtube-dl -l -f 18 <youtube-ID-or-link>
-l - nice file name
-f 18 - optimal iPhone format
